Trump May Have Just Handed the House and Senate to Democrats

Donald Trump had a little impromptu press conference in the Oval Office today. He was asked what he thinks of the new 4.2% inflation number that came out this morning, the highest level in three years.

His reply should absolutely stun independent and moderate Republican voters. And it should be included in every single ad put out by the DNC, its PACs, its surrogates, and every candidate running for office. Because that’s how fucking good it was.

“I love it! I love the inflation!”, Trump immediately and shockingly vomited out.

Americans are struggling. The working-class and young folks are drowning in an affordability crisis. Everything including gas, groceries, healthcare insurance and housing costs are skyrocketing.

Trump promised to quickly bring down inflation, which sat at 2.9% on January 20, 2025, the day he took office.

He promised to bring down the cost of food and other goods and services essential to voters.

He also promised no more wars, but within a year got us embroiled in a fucking quagmire in Iran with no end in sight, and which is the reason we have $4.60/gallon gasoline prices.

We don’t have to go back too far to remember Trump saying that “affordability is a Democratic hoax”.

Or that he doesn’t “care about Americans economic struggles”.

And, despite his attempts to spin a different narrative, I believe both of those comments that he repeatedly makes are hurting him significantly at the polls, which is why his approval is in the toilet at 34% and why he’s lost independents, young men/GenZ, Hispanics and even his bread and butter non-college white voters

But…”I love it! I love the inflation?”

It’s hard to fathom how he or the GOP can spin their way out of that one.

Because the truth is, it is becoming abundantly clear, even to many in his MAGA base, that he just doesn’t give a flying fuck about them or their economic problems. He doesn’t care about inflation because it doesn’t affect him. Because he’s reportedly grifted over $4-billion in the last year through his corrupt crypto scams and other abuses of government and he’s filthy richer than ever.

I’m not sure how he ever convinced the working-class that he was ‘one of them’, but I gather they’re starting to realize he’s nothing but an elitist who flew on private jets, rode in limousines, lived in a mansion in the sky and another on the beach, and has nothing in common with them except their love of Trump.

But he jumped another shark today, and this one was a Great White.

“I love the inflation!” is going to be the final nail in the Republican Party’s midterm coffin.
